Agile Flex 35D extends unattended machining capability for Fastenal

One of Fastenal’s manufacturing production lines utilizing a Mazak HQR 250MSY has been delivering hours of unattended machining with a bar feeder for small shaft work, but material that did not fit in the bar feeder had to be hand loaded.

To extend unattended machining benefits to billet work on the Mazak HQR 250MSY, Fastenal added an Agile Flex 35D to robot load up to 5 unique part types, stocked in its 4 drawers plus an optional drawer-mount pallet.

Fastenal is an American company, founded in 1967 and based in Winona, Minnesota. Fastenal manufactures and retails fasteners such as screws, bushings, threaded rods and nuts which are used in construction and manufacturing. The company employs 400 plus people at six manufacturing locations throughout USA including one in Malaysia.
