Job opportunity: Robotic Application Engineer

This exciting opportunity offers the right candidate an Application Engineering role for our exciting range of Flex, Modular and Engineered robotic CNC machine tending systems for installation and support throughout the USA.
For technically minded and motivated individuals this role will provide you with the chance to take your technical skills to the next level whilst being involved in interesting and fulfilling projects.

Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • On-site installations of automated systems and CNC machine interfacing
  • Robot programming
  • Safety system programming
  • Project completion and customer sign-off
  • Operator training
  • Preparation of documentation and user manuals
  • Technical studies for suitable product selection for application
  • Working closely with internal sales and technical staff both domestically and internationally
  • Post installation customer support
  • Sales support
The Person
  • Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline
  • Experience in Automation/controls and or CNC manufacturing industries preferred with an emphasis on:
    • Robot programming
    • CNC machining and related processes
    • Electrical controls and interfacing of equipment
    • Project site installation and commissioning
    • Application engineering
  • Experience with Fanuc ROBOGUIDE is a plus
  • 3D Modelling or CAD/CAM experience is a plus
  • Willingness to travel (over 50%) and work off hours with headquarters in Australia
  • Ability to work to deadlines and budgets
  • Understands and manages external and internal customer expectations
  • Team player
  • MS Office skills
  • A highly motivated self-starter
  • Enthusiastic and well organised
  • Excellent communicator
